How Accurate Is The Nexys Pro?

Over the past 3-5 years we've watched as portable LiDAR-based SLAM platforms have become more ubiquitous for surveying and mapping applications across a broad swath of industries around the world. Understanding the strengths and limitations of any scanning platform is critical for understanding how it can be used in the field.

To evaluate the accuracy of the Nexys Pro as it would be used for an everyday industrial surveying use case, we tested it's performance against a set of pre-surveyed ground control points (GCPs) and its ability to accurately map a combined outdoor and multi-room indoor environment.
