As a leading provider of digital mapping solutions, you've put considerable effort into evaluating and testing geospatial equipment to be a trusted provider for your customers. Your catalog includes everything from total stations to terrestrial laser scanners to mobile mapping systems like Exyn's Nexys.
We know that without the right sales tools and support, working with leads can end up feeling frustrating instead of rewarding. That’s why the same design philosophy we used for our Nexys ecosystem is also at the core of our partner reseller program.
Currently, our resellers enjoy extensive sales tools including recurring calls with our Customer Success team, full training and Nexys best practices, on-site representatives for trade shows, a customized channel partner portal, and sales enablement materials for all industries they cater to.
To understand what it's like to be an Exyn channel partner, let's step into a typical week in the life of one of our resellers.
John is the sales lead for a geospatial consulting firm in the Southwest. He starts his week compiling questions from current Nexys users and a few leads he's been warming up during the previous month.
Today is his recurring call with the Exyn Customer Success Team. The Exyn team of engineers and salespeople often partner with companies like Boston Dynamics and Trimble to push the limits of digital mobile mapping. These calls make staying on top of industry trends easier than poring over journals and blogs.
This month's call covers the newly released Nexys API, which extends modular mapping use cases for customers and provides selling opportunities in new markets. Since Exyn partners with leading industry players worldwide, they get immediate feedback on what's happening on the ground. Addressing a surveying challenge before the customer brings it up can build trust and position you as their go-to expert.
As the call ends, John double checks the Partner Portal for the latest sales enablement materials covering product upgrades and new use cases.
A new mine in Nevada is seeking state and federal approval to begin operations in late 2026. The company managing the first phase contacted John for a customized Nexys demo to help them speed up exploration and put together proposals for the thorough government approval process.
John arrives at the mine site to meet with his lead and a team of three other stakeholders. The location is about six hours outside of Las Vegas, and the staging area is in a low-lying, recessed area of the mine property. Combined with the remoteness of the mine, this creates dead spots for GPS signals.
Having worked with Nexys in past demos, John knows this is a perfect chance to show off the autonomous capabilities. During his prep work on Tuesday, he pre-surveyed some ground control points that he'll use to georeference in post-processing, showing Nexys' ability to work without GPS while still creating a fully georeferenced point cloud completely on-site and without any outside resources.
The modular design of the Nexys means he can configure it for handheld scanning in tight spaces or mount it on the drone for aerial coverage of the larger pit areas. For this demo, he'll show both configurations to illustrate the versatility.
As he walks through the site with the handheld configuration, the real-time colorized point cloud builds on the tablet. The mining engineers are particularly interested in how the SLAM algorithm maintains accuracy over the extended traverse without GPS. John explains that the system closes the loop by revisiting areas from different trajectories, which helps the post-processing algorithms correct for any accumulated drift.
As the sun sets and bathes the desert landscape in a warm orange glow, John sends up the Nexys for one more quick flight. The sunset and mountains in the backdrop create a perfect in-flight video he can share on his company's social media channels.
After the successful demonstrations, the team has a short Q&A session before the demo day comes to an end. During the session John is able to post-process the Nexys data and download it to a shared drive for the engineers to evaluate. Overall, it was a productive day and a meaningful step forward in the sales process.
Friday is a day to manage things back at the office and prepare for the week ahead. John preps notes for his scheduled calls on Monday with new leads. He gets a notification that the Nevada mining team wants to talk next Wednesday. Their engineers have questions about how ExynAI handles dust occlusion and subsampling.
John will check the Exyn Channel Portal on Monday for the latest specs and put in a quick call to the Exyn sales team to prepare. Having technical contacts available is helpful for dealing with complex questions as the sales process moves forward.
As the day winds down, John reflects on another productive week. Leads are moving forward, and learning about new Nexys updates is providing selling opportunities to both existing and new clients.
