The Role
In this role, you’ll design, develop, and optimize the core algorithms that enable Exyn’s aerial and ground robots to localize, navigate, and map complex 3D environments in real time. Your work will directly impact the accuracy, robustness, and scalability of our autonomous systems in the field.
You’ll collaborate closely with robotics, hardware, and product teams, and have opportunities to support field deployments and interface with customers and partners.
What You’ll Do:
Develop core localization and mapping related products including real-time and offline SLAM, colorization, and sensor calibration
Optimize algorithms for performance on resource-constrained, edge-compute platforms
Support integration of new sensors, platforms, and capabilities into our autonomy stack
Investigate and debug complex localization and mapping issues escalated by the Customer Success team
Stay current with state-of-the-art research and emerging techniques in SLAM and robotics

Experience with probabilistic estimation using factor graphs and/or Kalman filters
