EY & Exyn Technologies to Develop Innovative Solutions for Mining Operations

Philadelphia, PA  August 19, 2021Exyn Technologies (https://www.exyn.com), a pioneer in autonomous aerial robot systems for complex and GPS-denied industrial environments, announces today a collaboration with EY, a multinational professional services network, to develop innovative solutions for mining operations. Together, Exyn and EY will combine their business and technical expertise with emerging technologies under one unified vision to accelerate the digital transformation in the mining sector.

As the sector continues its evolution towards safer and remote-managed activities in operations, imperatives to provide complete solutions that integrate fully autonomous data collection with business intelligence need to be addressed. Shorter cycles achieved from data acquisition to decision-ready information can have greater impact in underground health and safety, human-denied production performance, and environmental monitoring commitments. The collaboration is anchored on delivering solutions that solve for shorter cycles.

Exyn is excited to collaborate with EY to bring autonomy through its ExynAero product to the mining community. Our systems are not only the most sophisticated commercially available worldwide, but the unique capabilities we possess are fundamentally necessary for safe and successful operation in the most challenging of environments,” commented Raffi Jabrayan, VP President of Business Development and Commercial Sales for Exyn. “The ExynAero is fully autonomous, allowing for mapping of any environments - including GPS-denied, human-inaccessible, industrial environments without a pilot. It captures beyond-line-of-sight, efficient data without risking operator safety.”

Through the EY Americas Mining and Metals Centre of Excellence (CoE), Exyn and EY plan to activate unique solutions that cater directly to their respective mining clients. Launched earlier this year, the CoE offers companies access to cutting-edge services and innovation-led solutions that meet the most pressing needs of mining and metals businesses today and in the future.

“Exyn is a visionary technology disruptor that has achieved rapid and significant advances in the underground mining environment - helping companies access areas humans cannot,” says Theo Yameogo, EY Americas Mining and Metals Leader. “Through the CoE, we have made the commitment to engage with emerging technology leaders to deliver pragmatic yet game-changing solutions to our clients. The combination of capabilities between EY and Exyn will yield tremendous value to the sector.”

Exyn has successfully commercialized industrial-grade drone Level 4 Autonomy with major customers in mining, construction, and logistics. For more information about Exyn, please visit our website.
